that an exclusive Resident Evil title is in development for the Nintendo Wii. They have stated that it is not in fact the same title due to appear on the PS3 and XBox 360, Resident Evil 5.
Reports around the Internet suggest that the title will in fact take place between Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4, showcasing locations from all titles, featuring Jill Valentine and some innovative gameplay ideas...
"Biohazard : Umbrella Corp Chronicles and fills in the story on Umbrella before and leading to BH4. Gameplay is a mix between using the Wiimote as a light gun and BH4 style elements e.g. action buttons pressing X for a dramatic scene. It features scenarios from BH1 (museum), BH2 (police station), BH3 (raccoon city), BHCV and BH4 (village) and ties in the gaps especially BHCV and BH4. Characters include Chris/Claire, Leon/Ada, Jill / Carlos, Rebecca, Hunk and Wesker. There are two gameplay modes - scenario mode and arcade mode. Proper announcement to be made by Capcom at TGS"
claiming an email from the actress states that she does not know what Resident Evil franchise her character will in fact be starring in.

Japanese Videogame Charts Show Continued Strong Performance From Nintendo
It's a good time to be a Nintendo fanboy like me!
Media-Create have reported that Nintendo have taken the charts by storm in Japan capturing the ENTIRE Top Ten software slots...
01 | Final Fantasy 3 | Nintendo DS
02 | New Super Mario Bros. | Nintendo DS
03 | Rune Factory | Nintendo DS
04 | Brain Age 2 | Nintendo DS
05 | Cooking Mama | Nintendo DS
06 | Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 | Nintendo DS
07 | Mario Hoops 3 on 3 | Nintendo DS
08 | Animal Crossing: Wild World | Nintendo DS
09 | Brain Age | Nintendo DS
10 | English Training | Nintendo DS
Incredible! It has been estimated by Media-Create that the DS currently holds around 80% of the software market in Japan with Wi-Fi ready title Final Fantasy 3 taking the lead this week selling over 500,000 copies.
New Super Mario Brothers is continuing to hold it's top 10 stakes selling around 65,000 copies this week and totalling close to 3 million this year!
Rune Factory at number 3 is the latest Harvest Moon title and sold just over 42,000 copies this week, narrowly beating Brain Age 2 which has now sold over 3 million copies so far since release.

Wii News || Nintendo Dates Set For Worldwide Announcements

Finally!
Nintendo told us to wait until September for more information about the Wii and it looks like they're set to hold up to their promise.
Unfortunately we're not invited to the London press conference! But hey, we're only several hours old so we can't complain!
Dates confirmed by the big N for the three major territories:
Japan: 14th September 2006
USA: 14th September 2006
Europe (London): 15th September 2006
Focusing on the European event (as I am in the UK!) it's been noted from
GamesIndustry.Biz that we can expect new software announcements as well as new information regarding the console itself. Whether or not these will be new after the Japanese and USA announcements have taken place remains to be seen.
Rumors from other sites also suggest Nintendo may "pull an Apple" and release the console the week commencing the 18th of September.

Yup! Another Nintendo News Site
Hi guys.
Just dropping a quick line to introduce myself, Carter. I'm the new owner of Nintendo-Centrum.com and hope to bring you a one stop news source for everything Nintendo.
I'm a long time Nintendo fan, I've been buying all their consoles since the NES came out, and will continue to do so - no matter how much they piss me off! I've written a little about what my fave's are and what I'm looking forward to, and in time I'm hoping I'll get to play the Wii!
So yeah, I'm just like the rest of you Nintendo nut bags out there trying to bring something in to the community. Hope you enjoy the site!
